SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY

We call ourselves SONICS (Seniors Of Northridge In Christ's Service)

The Seniors at Northridge are a wonderful and dynamic group of Christians. We were founded on the biblical principle, that we would support the efforts of Northridge Baptist Church, its pastors, and all the church membership through intercessory prayer.

Our usual meeting time is at 3:00 pm on the second Saturday of the month. We sometimes have guest speakers or some entertainment and then enjoy a potluck meal.  

God has blessed our efforts beyond our greatest expectations. What an awesome Lord we have! When we began, we had a membership of 9 people and in a short time our membership has increased to approaching 30. That is a blessing! We are not, however, about numbers; we are about service. We have ongoing projects so that we never get out of the mode of doing for others, as God directs and leads us.

SONICS has officers who function in a number of ways, and is organized so that if anyone is missing a meeting they can count on someone stepping in for them. We have a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Prayer Director, Membership Coordinator and Preparations Coordinator. Each of these offices has a job description and are elected every 2 years.    

We have a wonderful time in the Lord each and every time we get together. If you are 50 or older and would like to be a part of this dynamic group of Christians, please let us know and we will give you the information for our next meeting.
